To use this functionality you must first install the "616 PC File Transfer Tool". Please see the relevant section in the Software Manual. It is not possible to use any other applications while data is being exchanged between your e616 and a PC. Please note that certain recurring appointments are not supported by this handset and as such may not be created on the handset during synchronisation. To activate Data Exchange Press "Menu" key Æ select External connection Æ USB To Transfer Data between the Handset and a PC This operation can only be controlled from the PC side. To Do this 1 Connect the e616 and the PC 2 Activate data exchange function Insert an USB cable to the power connector of the e616 and a USB port of the PC. Press the MENU key Æ select External connection Æ USBÆ Handset memory / Memory card. 3 Run PC File Transfer Tool Start the "616 PC File Transfer Tool" application on the PC 4 Transfer data between the e616 and See the "PC Data Transfer Tool" section in the Software the PC Manual for specific instructions. Synchronisation It is possible to synchronise your Calendar, Contacts and To Do lists locally between your e616 and a PC using a USB cable, or remotely over-the-air with a '3' server. Before attempting synchronisation, it is necessary to install the provided 'IntelliSync' software on to your PC. Please see the Software Manual for further instructions. Once the software has been successfully installed, an 'IntelliSync' logo will appear on your Windows Taskbar tray. Contacts are treated as vCard files, whilst Calendar and To Do list entries as vCalendar files.
