Next Hop Intf The outgoing router interface to use when forwarding traffic to the next destination. Next Hop IP Address The outgoing router IP address to use when forwarding traffic to the next router (if any) in the path toward the destination. The next router will always be one of the adjacent neighbors or the IP address of the local interface for a directly attached network. 14.2.16 show ip route entry This command displays the entire route table. Format show ip route entry Mode Privileged EXEC Network Address Is a valid network address identifying the network on the specified interface. Subnet Mask Is a mask of the network and host portion of the IP address for the attached network. Protocol Tells which protocol added the specified route. The possibilities are: local, static, OSPF or RIP. The following information displays for each Next Hop.
