If you want to do both, you can stack the switch using two 24-Gigabit Stackable Modules (AX742), and then use the remaining module bays for 10-Gigabit Ethernet XFP Adapters (AX741). The modules and adapters are sold separately. Note: If you want to support more than two 10-Gigabit Ethernet connections, any of the additional I/O module bays can be used with 10-Gigabit Ethernet XFP Adapters (AX741) to accommodate the additional ports. SPF Modules The module bay accommodates a standard SFP module with an LC connector that is compatible with the IEEE 802.3z 1000BASE-X standard. SPF modules are sold separately. SFP Module Installation To install an SFP module (typical installation shown): 1. Insert the SFP module into the module bay. Press firmly to ensure that the module seats into the connector. High-Speed I/O Module Bays
The High-Speed I/O Module Bays can be used for inter-switch stacking or to
install XFP 10-Gigabit Ethernet modules. If you want to do both, you can stack
the switch using two 24-Gigabit Stackable Modules (AX742), and then use the
remaining module bays for 10-Gigabit Ethernet XFP Adapters (AX741). The
modules and adapters are sold separately.
SPF Modules
The module bay accommodates a standard SFP module with an LC connector that
is compatible with the IEEE 802.3z 1000BASE-X standard.
SPF modules are sold
separately.
SFP Module Installation
To install an SFP module (typical installation shown):
1.
Insert the SFP module into the module bay. Press firmly to ensure that the
module seats into the connector.
