Touch tone length (Menu 4-5-5) Your phone can generate various sounds, called touch tones, when the keys are pressed. Touch tones can be used for many automated services such as voice mail, calling cards, and checking airline arrival/departure times and bank balances. Touch tones can be sent only when a call is active. To set the touch tone length scroll to Short (1/10 second) or Long (1/2 second) in menu 4-5-5 and press OK. Touch tone strings can be used for sending and receiving information with your phone. For example, you can save your office voice mailbox number along with your password for easy access to your messages. You can also save a whole digit sequence in your phone book and send it as touch tones for frequently used strings of numbers. To save touch tone strings enter the number and press Save. Sending a touch tone string: 1. Press Options. 2. Scroll to Touch tones and press OK. 3. Enter a touch tone string or recall string from the phone book and press OK.
