6 Installing and Replacing Other Components Caution Make certain that you are properly grounded when you handle components internal to the appliance to protect against electrostatic discharge damage to the appliance. Use the disposable grounding strap included in the battery replacement kit. To install the battery, perform the following tasks 1. Locate the battery on the motherboard. The battery is in a black battery holder secured with a battery retaining pin.
