Section 4 - Chapter 6 - Telnet Configuration Chapter 6 Telnet Configuration Overview The OkiLAN 6020e Configuration utility (telnet) provides system, network and printer status information and allows you to change the configuration of your OkiLAN 6020e. Note: The configuration of your OkiLAN 6020e is password protected. Only authorized users can alter the configuration. Running a Telnet Session 1. To run the configuration utility, type the following: telnet 2. Replace OkiLAN 6020e_name with the IP address or the host name assigned to the OkiLAN 6020e you want to configure. A screen will appear displaying an introductory message. When prompted for a password, enter OkiLAN. The password will not be echoed. 3. When you are finished typing your password, press Enter. For password verification, you will then be asked to enter your password again. Each time you use the utility, you will be asked to enter your password. If you fail to enter the password correctly in three attempts, your connection with the OkiLAN 6020e will be closed. 4. Once your password is entered and accepted, a list of options will display. Telnet Configuration
Overview
The OkiLAN 6020e Configuration utility (
telnet
)
provides system, network and printer status information
and allows you to change the configuration of your
OkiLAN 6020e.
Note:
The configuration of your OkiLAN 6020e is
password protected. Only authorized users can
alter the configuration.
Running a Telnet Session
1. To run the configuration utility, type the following:
telnet
<
OkiLAN 6020e_name
>
2. Replace
OkiLAN 6020e_name
with the IP address or
the host name assigned to the OkiLAN 6020e you
want to configure.
A screen will appear displaying an introductory
message. When prompted for a password, enter
OkiLAN
. The password will not be echoed.
