Chapter 7 Erasing pictures Recorded pictures can be erased. You may use the single-frame erase function or the all-frame erase function. Note ● It is not possible to erase protected pictures or pictures stored on a card that has a write-protect seal (SmartMedia). ● Once erased, pictures cannot be restored. Single-frame erase This function only erases the picture displayed on the monitor. Erasing further pictures must be done one-by-one if using this function. Mode dial setting 1 Select a picture you wish to erase by using the arrow pad. ● If the picture is protected, cancel the protection first (P. 148). (erase) button Arrow pad 2 Press . ● The ERASE screen is displayed. 3 Press Ñ to select YES. ● To cancel erasing, select NO and press , or press again. 4 Press to erase the picture. button ERASE screen ERASE YES N O SELECT GO 149
