Focus lock - Focusing on subjects that are not in the center of the frame If the subject of your composition is not within the AF target mark and focusing is not possible (as illustrated to the right), try the following: Mode dial setting 1 Position the AF target mark over the subject. Press the shutter button halfway to lock the focus. AF target mark Shutter button Exposure (brightness) is also locked and the green lamp lights up. 2 Compose your picture (point the camera towards the subject) while keeping the shutter button pressed halfway. 3 Press the shutter button all the way. 65
