V-CHIP Menu OPERATION Canadian English The V-CHIP used in this TV model allows you to block various types of movies and television programs based on the two rating systems used in Canada. PIP will also be blocked automatically. 1 In CANADIAN ENGLISH press to highlight STATUS. Press to display CANADIAN ENGLISH RATING CHART. Press to select CANADIAN ENGLISH. Press to select CANADIAN ENGLISH ON or OFF. ON _ OFF !_i!_i_iI i!_! 4 Press to select VIEW E PROGRAMS? Press to select VIEW E PROGRAMS? YES or NO. Note: E (Exempt) programming includes: news, sports, documentaries and other information programming, talk shows, music videos, and variety programming. Press to move between different ratings. Press to select ratings you would like to block (RED) and unblock (GREEN). Note: See the CANADIAN ENGLISH RATING CHART. CANADIAN ENGLISH RATINGS CHART Exempt - Exempt programming includes: news, sports, documentaries and other information E programming, talk shows, music videos, and variety programming. C Programming intended for children under age 8. No offensive language, nudity or sexual content. Programming generally considered acceptable for children 8 years and over. No profanity, C8+ : nudity or sexual content. G General programming, suitable for all audiences. PG Parental Guidance suggested. Some material may not be suitable for children.
