Preparation Telephone System Answering System Useful Information Intercom Intercom calls can be made between the handset and the base unit. Calling Base Intercom 00-00-05 From Base Unit Using this feature, you can also locate a misplaced handset. 1 Press [LOCATOR/INTERCOM/TRANSFER]. • The LOCATOR/INTERCOM/TRANSFER and SP-PHONE indicators light. • The handset will ring for 1 minute. • To stop paging, press [SP-PHONE] or [LOCATOR/INTERCOM/ TRANSFER]. 2 When the paged party answers, talk into the MIC. 3 To disconnect the intercom, press [SP-PHONE] or [LOCATOR/ INTERCOM/TRANSFER]. • The indicator lights go out. During an intercom call: • If you have difficulty hearing while using the speakerphone on the handset or base unit, decrease the speaker volume by pressing [d]. • If an incoming call is being received, you will hear two tones (incoming call tone, p. 53) and the IN USE indicator on the base unit will flash rapidly.
