Begin sewing. Darning with the elastic stitch Darn with the elastic stitch for repairing damaged areas. • Sew over the damaged area in rows until it is well covered. Take care to ensure that the rows overlap. Note: When stretching elastic, make sure to stretch from the front and back of the sewing foot. 2:6
