Stabilizing edges With the rolled hem foot you can hem blouses, silk scarves and valances with ease, without having to pre-iron the fabric edges. The hemming prevents the edges from fraying and a clean, durable edge is the result. • Fold the beginning of the fabric edge over twice (approx. 2 mm) • Lay the folded fabric edge underneath the hemmer and sew a few stitches. • Leave the needle in the fabric, raise the presser foot and insert the fabric into the rolled hem foot scroll. • Lower the presser foot and guide the fabric evenly into the rolled hem foot. Take care that the fabric does not run under the right half of the presser foot. stitch G 0 3 G 0 3 G 0 3 3-5 7 3-5 Optional 3-5 Optional Utility stitches and practical sewing Tip: On silk, Bastiste and chiffon fabrics, the roll hem is particularly attractive with a zigzag stitch 2:15
