Repairing
tears
On
tears,
frayed
edges
or
small
holes
it
is
useful
to
lay
a
piece
of
material
under
the
reverse
side
of
the
fabric.
The
underlayed
fabric
reinforces
the
workpiece
and
ensures
perfect
repair.
•
Lay
a
piece
of
fabric
underneath
the
damaged
fabric.
It
must
be
a
little
larger
than
the
damaged
area.
•
Now
sew
over
the
damaged
area.
•
Cut
the
under
layed
piece
of
material
back
to
the
seam.
