When you are finished exercising, remove the key from the console. See step 8 on page 20. HOW TO USE A PULSE WORKOUT 4. Start the workout. Touch the Start button to start the workout. A moment after you touch the button, the walking belt will begin to move. Hold the handrails and begin walking. Pulse workouts automatically control the speed and incline of the treadmill to keep your heart rate near a target level while you exercise. Note: You must wear a chest heart rate monitor to use a pulse workout. 1. Put on a compatible chest heart rate monitor. The workout will function in the same way as the manual mode (see pages 18 to 20). For more information about the optional chest heart rate monitor, see page 26. The workout will continue until you reach the goal that you set. The walking belt will then slow to a stop, and a workout summary will appear on the screen. After you view the workout summary, touch the Finish button to return to the main menu. You may also be able to either save or publish your results using one of the options on the screen. Note: The calorie goal is an estimate of the number of calories that you will burn during the workout. HOW TO USE A PULSE WORKOUT
Pulse workouts automatically control the speed and
incline of the treadmill to keep your heart rate near a
target level while you exercise. Note: You must wear a
chest heart rate monitor to use a pulse workout.

Put on a compatible chest heart rate monitor.

To select a pulse workout, touch the runner button
in the lower-left corner of the screen. Next, touch
