ASSEMBLY UNPACKING This product requires assembly.  Carefully remove the product and any acces- sories from the box. Make sure that all items listed in the Packing List are included. WARNING: Do not use this product if any parts on the Packing List are already assembled to your product when you unpack it. Parts on this list are not assembled to the product by the manufacturer and require customer installation. Use of a product that may have been improperly assembled could result in serious personal injury.  Inspect the product carefully to make sure no breakage or damage occurred during shipping.  Do not discard the packing material until you have carefully inspected and satisfactorily operated the product.  If any parts are damaged or missing, please call 1-800-525-2579 for assistance. PACKING LIST Chain Saw with Scabbard SAFE-T-TIP™ Scrench Operator's Manual WARNING: To prevent accidental starting that could cause serious personal injury, always remove the battery pack from the product when assembling parts. MOUNTING THE SAFE-T-TIP™ NOSE GUARD See Figures 5 - 6. n Remove the battery prior to assembling the pruner. n Mount the SAFE-T-TIP™ on the bar nose. n Fit the locking tab in the recessed slot in the guide bar. n Tighten the mounting screw with wrench until snug. n From the snug position, tighten the mounting screw an additional 3/4 of a turn using a wrench. n Check the security of the SAFE-T-TIP™ nose guard and its mounting screw before each use of the chain saw. tery pack from the product when assembling
parts.
MOUNTING THE SAFE-T-TIP™ NOSE
GUARD
See Figures 5 - 6.
Remove the battery prior to assembling the pruner.
Mount the SAFE-T-TIP™ on the bar nose.
Fit the locking tab in the recessed slot in the guide
bar.
Tighten the mounting screw with wrench until
snug.
From the snug position, tighten the mounting
screw an additional 3/4 of a turn using a wrench.
Check the security of the SAFE-T-TIP™ nose
guard and its mounting screw before each use of
the chain saw.
