Playing a Sequence Frame by Frame GB 0 REW PLAY REC 1 STOP F.F 2, 3 P/STILL You can: x stop the cassette at a given frame (image) ; and x advance one frame at a time. ­ No sound is heard when playing back frame by frame. DISPLAY MONITOR A.DUB AUTO TRACKING REV MENU SLOW FWD 4 1 Press the PLAY ( ) button to start playing the cassette. 2 Press the P/Still button ( ) to stop the tape at a given frame. 3 Press the P/Still button ( ) again to advance forward frame by frame. 4 Instead of Step 3 you can also turn the JOG to the left or right to advance frame by frame backward or forward. 5 To return to normal playback, press the PLAY ( ) button.  If the Frame-by-Frame function is used for more than five minutes (except for JOG function), the VCR will automatically play to protect the cassette and video heads. AUTO TRACKING REV Playing a Sequence at Variable Speeds MENU 2 SLOW FWD 34 You can vary the playback speed using the Shuttle function (up to nine times the normal speed). Example: You wish to analyse an athlete's technique, movement by movement. ­ The Shuttle function is available on the remote control. No sound is heard when playing a sequence at variable speeds. 1 Press the PLAY ( ) button to start playing the cassette. 2 Turn the SHUTTLE RING to the left or right to vary the playback speed. 3 Each time you turn the shuttle ring, the speed will change as shown in the following illustration. This is normal operation. Modes with no color are shown below. x No color modes : • Variable Speed play of LP recordings on any system. • X2 and Still/Slow play of SLP recordings in PAL-M mode.  If the picture is noisy or distored during X2 play or other variable speed play mode, adjust the tracking manually for a cleaner picture.
