REMOTE CONTROL KEYS Mode Keys-Use these keys to program the remote control and to select the operating mode (VCR, TV, or AUX). To Operate Your... VCR-Press the VCR key; Television-Press the TV key; Cable Box or DVD Player-Press the AUX key. Note: Make sure you hold down the mode key while entering a code number, see page 10. Input Key-Press to select the program source: TV signal or signal from the DVD Player or other equipment you have connected to the A/V jacks. Number Keys-Two keys must be pressed to select a channel. Example: Press 0 then 6 to select channel 6. For cable channels 100 through 125, press and hold the 1 key until C1- - appears. Then press the other two numbers. Caption Key-See page 14. Menu Key-Use this key with the L/M and - /+ keys to navigate and adjust features of the on-screen menu system (see pages 13 ~ 14). Channel Scanning (CH L/M) and Volume (VOL - /+) Keys-Press to scan through the channels in memory and to adjust the volume. Mute Key-Press once to minimize the volume. Press again to restore. Note: When using the audio out jacks this key will not mute the sound. VCR/DVD Keys-These keys control VCR or DVD functions for Fast Forward ( ), Rewind ( ), Play ( ), Record (REC), Stop (I), and Pause. V-Guide Key-See pages 15 ~ 16. Point towards TV or Equipment « L L QuickTips I Be sure batteries are installed correctly. I Point the remote control toward the equipment you want to operate. Objects between the remote control and the equipment may cause misoperation of the remote control function. I If the remote control does not work: Press TV key (see item 1). I The remote control must be programmed before it will operate your VCR, DVD Player, or Cable Box. See pages 10~12. I Cannot select channel with number keys. Press "0" in front of numbers 1~9. Example: Channel 05. I Adjusting the volume level: Flashing Right arrow indicates volume is increasing and flashing Left arrow indicates volume is decreasing. Need help?
