Using the tilt-swivel With the tilt-swivel, this unit can be adjusted to be viewed at your desired angle within 90° horizontally and 7° vertically. To turn the unit vertically and horizontally, hold it at its bottom with both hands. 45° 11-7. 45° Damper wire Using a white background, a very thin horizontal line on the screen is visible as shown below. This line is a damper wire. The Trinitron tube has a vertically striped Aperture Grille inside. The Aperture Grille allows more light to pass through to the screen giving the Trinitron CRT more color and brightness. The damper wire is attached to the Aperture Grille to prevent vibration of the Aperture Grille wire so that the screen image is constantly stable.
