Step 4: Adjusting the LCD screen and viewfinder Using the LCD screen The LCD screen can be rotated in the range as illustrated below, allowing a person other than the camera operator to see the image. b Note • The LCD screen and the viewfinder do not operate at the same time. 180° (max.) Open 90° 90° (max.) Adjusting the viewfinder diopter When using the viewfinder, extend it and position your eye near it. If you extend the viewfinder while the LCD screen is open, the display switches from the LCD screen to the viewfinder when you position your eye near the viewfinder. If the viewfinder image appears blurred, turn the diopter adjustment dial next to the viewfinder until the image is sharp. Diopter adjustment dial Move it until the picture becomes clear. 22
