Troubleshooting (Continued) Recording stops. • Recording may stop if the camcorder is subjected to repeated vibration. The camcorder does not keep the setting changes. • Some menu items return to the default setting when the power is turned off. • The [FOCUS MAGNIFIER] setting is not stored. • The battery pack or AC Adaptor was disconnected while the power was turned on. Before disconnecting the battery pack or AC Adaptor, turn off the power and make sure that the access lamp is turned off. There is a time difference between the point when the START/STOP button is pressed and the point that the recording movie actually starts or stops. • On your camcorder, there may be a slight time difference between the point where you press the START/STOP button and the actual point that recording movie starts/stops. This is not a malfunction. Automatic focus does not function. • Press the AF/MF button (p. 30) to set the focus to automatic adjustment. • Adjust the focus manually if the automatic focus does not work properly (p. 30). The phase detection AF frame display is not visible. • The camcorder may have switched to contrast AF mode due to the subject conditions or user settings. This is not a malfunction. Image stabilization is not working. • Set [STEADYSHOT] to [ACTIVE] or [STANDARD]. • SteadyShot image stabilization may not be able to correct the image if the shaking is too large, even if [STEADYSHOT] is set to [ACTIVE] or [STANDARD].
