Other Symptom The buttons do not operate. There is no beep sound to indicate that operation has been accepted. Cannot insert the "Memory Stick." The current time is reset. Cause/Remedy c Make sure the HOLD switch is OFF (page 16). c You must recharge the battery (page 8). c Set the BEEP setting to ON in the menu (page 17). c Make sure the "Memory Stick" is correctly inserted as shown on Network Walkman (page 9). c The battery is low and needs to be charged. Cannot use a "Memory Stick" used on other devices. c Only "MagicGate Memory Stick" can be used with this player. c If the "Memory Stick" has been formatted using a computer, backup the files of the"Memory Stick" on your computer if necessary, and reformat the "Memory Stick" using this player (page 21).
