Troubleshooting Wireless LAN Functions1 The computer cannot connect to a Wireless LAN Access Point. Connection availability is affected by distance and obstructions. You may need to move your computer away from obstructions or closer to any access point you may be using.  Make sure the Wireless LAN switch on the computer is in the ON position or the Wireless LAN PC Card is properly inserted.  Make sure power to the access point is on.  Make sure the access point is displayed in the "Available networks" window. 1. Click Start, and select Control Panel. 2. Click Network and Internet Connections, and then Network Connections. 3. Right-click Wireless Network Connection, and select Properties. The Wireless Network Connection Properties dialog box appears. 4. Select the Wireless Networks tab, and check if the access point is displayed in the Available networks box.  Make sure the encryption key is correct. 1 Wireles s LA N func tionality is available on s elec ted models only. The computer cannot connect to a Wireless LAN Access Point.
Connection availability is affected by distance and obstructions. You may need to move your computer away from
obstructions or closer to any access point you may be using.
Make sure the Wireless LAN switch on the computer is in the ON position or the Wireless LAN PC Card is properly
inserted.
Make sure power to the access point is on.
Make sure the access point is displayed in the "Available networks" window.

Click Start, and select Control Panel.

Click Network and Internet Connections, and then Network Connections.
3.
Right-click Wireless Network Connection, and select Properties. The Wireless Network Connection
Properties dialog box appears.
4.
Select the Wireless Networks tab, and check if the access point is displayed in the Available networks
box.
Make sure the encryption key is correct.
