Getting Started The table below shows the display when measurement starts. Measurement for Display Speaker existance Speaker gain, distance, frequency response Subwoofer gain and distance TONE T.S.P. WOOFER Note You cannot measure the speaker height of the surround speakers and the surround back speakers. Set this value using "SUR POS." parameters in the SYSTEM menu (page 42). Tips • The Auto Calibration function will be canceled when you do the following during the measurement process: - Press ?/1, input buttons or MUTING on the remote. - Press SPEAKERS (OFF/A/B/A+B) or turn the INPUT SELECTOR on the receiver. - Change the volume level. - Press AUTO CAL again. - Connect the headphones. • The measurement may not be performed correctly or Auto Calibration cannot be performed when special speakers, such as dipole speakers are used. Confirming/saving the measurement results 1 Confirm the measurement result. When the measurement ends, a beep sounds and the measurement result appears on the display. Measurement Display Explanation result When the measurement process completes properly SAVE Proceed to step 2. When the measurement process fails ERROR XXXX See "When error codes appear" (page 32). 2 Press RECEIVER and then press V/v repeatedly to select the item. Then, press . Item RETRY SAVE WARN CHK PHASE DISTANCE LEVEL EXIT Explanation Performs the Auto Calibration again. Saves the measurement results and exits the setting process. Displays warning concerning the measurement results. See "When you select "WARN CHK"" (page 32). Displays the phase of each speaker (in phase/out of phase). See "When you select "PHASE"" (page 33). Displays the measurement result for speaker distance. Displays the measurement result for speaker level. Exits the setting process without saving the measurement results. continued 31US
