ENGLISH This unit uses a microprocessor, so external noise and other interference can cause the unit to stop functioning properly. In such cases, unplug the power cord from the outlet once and wait a little while. Then, repower the unit and try the operation again. oo Be aware that when you do this, if a backup lithium coin battery has not been installed in the main unit, the clock, timer and radio station preset settings will be lost. Restoring the unit to its original state Use the tip of a ballpoint pen or similar tool to lightly press the reset switch beneath the disc cover. This procedure erases everything in the unit's memory and restores it to its factory default settings. If the unit still does not function properly after conducting the above measures, follow the instruction in "Restoring the unit to its original state". Beware of condensation When the unit is moved from the cold outside to a warm indoor place or used soon after the heat has been turned on in the room where it is located, for example, there is a danger of condensation on moving parts or the lens, which could cause the unit to not function properly. If this occurs, turn the unit on and leave it on for 1 to 2 hours. This will enable the unit to play back properly. 47

This unit uses a microprocessor, so external noise and other
interference can cause the unit to stop functioning prop-
erly. In such cases, unplug the power cord from the outlet
once and wait a little while. Then, repower the unit and try
the operation again.
o
Be aware that when you do this, if a backup lithium
coin battery has not been installed in the main unit, the
clock, timer and radio station preset settings will be lost.
If the unit still does not function properly after conducting
the above measures, follow the instruction in “Restoring
the unit to its original state”.
Restoring the unit to its original state
Use the tip of a ballpoint pen or similar tool to lightly press
the reset switch beneath the disc cover. This procedure
erases everything in the unit's memory and restores it to
its factory default settings.
Beware of condensation
When the unit is moved from the cold outside to a
warm indoor place or used soon after the heat has been
turned on in the room where it is located, for example,
there is a danger of condensation on moving parts or
the lens, which could cause the unit to not function
properly. If this occurs, turn the unit on and leave it on
for 1 to 2 hours. This will enable the unit to play back
properly.
