Telephone settings Answering system settings (handset only) Call screening Use this feature to choose whether incoming messages can be heard over the telephone base speaker when they are being recorded. If you turn call screening on, you hear the incoming message. While monitoring an incoming message, you can answer the call by pressing PHONE/FLASH or /�SP�E�A��K�E�R� on the handset. To change the setting: Play messages >Answering sys 1. When the handset is in idle mode, press MENU/SELECT to enter the main menu. 2. Press qCID or pDIR to scroll to >Answering sys, then press MENU/SELECT. >Ans sys setup -End of list- 3. Press qCID or pDIR to scroll to >Ans sys setup. 4. Press MENU/SELECT twice to select >Call screening. 5. Press qCID or pDIR to choose On or Off. 6. Press MENU/SELECT to confirm your setting and you hear a confirmation tone. Press qCID or pDIR to scroll and choose among 2, 4, 6 or Toll saver. • Toll saver - the answering system answers a call after two rings if you have new messages, and after four rings when there are no new messages. Call screening
Use this feature to choose whether incoming messages can be heard over
the telephone base speaker when they are being recorded. If you turn call
screening on, you hear the incoming message. While monitoring an incoming
message, you can answer the call by pressing
