Electronic Oven Controls Control Display The display will light up when first powered up or after a power loss. When oven is not in use, the time of day is displayed. Tones Tones are audible signals, indicating the following: One beep ■ Valid keypad touch ■ Function has been entered One chime ■ Preheat cycle has been completed Three beeps ■ Invalid keypad touch Three chimes ■ End of a cooking cycle Four chimes ■ When timer reaches zero Includes using the Timer for functions other than cooking. Use the Settings/Clock keypad to change the tone settings. Settings Many features of the microwave oven control can be adjusted to meet your personal needs. These changes are made using the Settings/Clock keypad. Use the Settings/Clock keypad to scroll through the features that can be changed. Each press of the Settings/Clock keypad will advance the display to the next setting. You can also press SETTINGS/CLOCK and then press the number keypad indicated in the following chart to go straight to the desired setting. After selecting the feature to be changed, the control will prompt you for the required input. Press the Setting number for the selected setting to adjust the setting. Details of the microwave oven feature changes are explained in the following sections. Press CANCEL to exit Settings. Press SETTINGS/CLOCK. 2. Press the number "2" keypad to adjust the setting. 3. Repeat to adjust the setting again. All Tones All tones are preset on, but they can be turned off. 1. Press SETTINGS/CLOCK. 2. Press the number "3" keypad to adjust the setting. 3. Repeat to adjust the setting again. Tone Volume The volume is preset to low, but it can be changed to high. 1. Press SETTINGS/CLOCK. 2. Press the number "4" keypad to adjust the setting. 3. Repeat to adjust the setting again. End-of-Cycle and Reminder Tones The end-of-cycle and reminder tones are preset to On, but they can be turned off. If all tones have been turned off, the end-of-cycle and reminder tones cannot be turned on. 1. Press SETTINGS/CLOCK. 2. Press the number "5" keypad to adjust the setting. 3. Repeat to adjust the setting again. Turntable The turntable is preset to ON, but it can be turned off in some cooking modes. 1. Press SETTINGS/CLOCK. 2. Press the number "6" keypad (single microwaves only) or the number "8" keypad (combination microwave/ovens only) to adjust the setting. 3. Repeat to adjust the setting again. NOTE: Some cooking modes require the turntable to be on and this setting will only affect those cooking modes where it is optional. Language Language options are English and French. 1. Press SETTINGS/CLOCK. 2. Press the number "7" keypad (single microwaves only) or the number "9" keypad (combination microwave/ovens only) to adjust the setting. 3. Repeat to adjust the setting again. Demo Mode IMPORTANT: This feature is intended for use on the sales floor with 120V power connection and permits the control features to be demonstrated without the magnetron turning on. If this feature is activated, the microwave will not work. 1. Press SETTINGS/CLOCK. 2. Press the number "8" keypad (single microwaves only) or the number "0" keypad (combination microwave/ovens only) to adjust the setting. 3. Repeat to adjust the setting again. 9
