RWARNING Never remove the radiator cap or the coolant system cap while the engine is running or hot to avoid personal injury. 2.5L Engine Before removing either cap, turn the engine off and let it cool. Even when the engine is cool, be careful when removing the caps. 1. Locate the radiator breather cap and the recovery reservoir cap in your engine compartment. The cap on the left is the radiator breather cap. The cap on the right is the recovery reservoir cap. When the engine is cool, wrap a thick cloth around the radiator breather cap and turn it slowly to relieve pressure. Step back while the pressure releases. When you are sure all the pressure has been released, use the cloth to turn and remove cap. Stand away from the radiator opening. Hot steam may blow out or hot engine coolant may even splash out. After the pressure has been released you may open the recovery reservoir cap and add engine coolant. Failure to follow this procedure could result in serious personal injury. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 223
