Seating and Safety Restraints Seats WARNING Never adjust the driver's seat or seatback when the vehicle is moving. WARNING Always drive and ride with your seatback upright and the lap belt snug and low across the hips. WARNING Children should always ride with the seatback in the fully upright position. Adjusting the Seats In the front seats, you can move the whole seat forward or backward or tilt the back of the seat forward or backward. To move the seat forward or backward: 1. Make sure nothing is placed under the front seats. Such items may interfere with the seat lock mechanism. Find the seat slide adjustment lever located on the outside of the seat. Pull the lever up and hold it. Slide the seat to the position you desire. Release the lever and make sure the seat has locked in place. 57 2. 3. 4. 5.
