Indicator Lights and Chimes Safety Belt Warning Light and Chime This warning light and chime remind you to fasten your safety belt. If you do not fasten your safety belt before the ignition is turned to ON, the chime will sound for 4 to 8 seconds and the warning light will illuminate for 1 to 2 minutes, or until the safety belt is fastened. If you fasten the safety belt before the ignition is turned to ON, neither the light nor chime will activate. Safety belt light Air Bag Readiness Light This light illuminates for six seconds when the ignition is turned to the ON position.
