110 MAINTENANCE AND ADJUSTMENT • both throttle cable adjusting nuts in completely so as to give the throttle grip plenty of play. Turn out the decelerator cable adjusting nut until there is no play when the throttle grip is completely closed. Tighten the locknut. the accelerator cable adjusting • Turn nut until 2 3 mm (0.08 0.12 in.) of • throttle grip play is obtained. Tighten the locknut. If the throttle cables cannot be adjusted by using the cable adjusting nuts at the upper ends of the throttle cables, further adjustment of the throttle cables should be done by a competent mechanic following the instructions in the Service Manual. WARNING Operation with improperly adjusted, incorrectly routed, or damaged cables could result in an unsafe riding condition.
