Controls in detail Locking and unlocking Loss of SmartKey or mechanical key If you lose a SmartKey or mechanical key, you should do the following: Have the SmartKey deactivated by an authorized Mercedes-Benz Center. Report the loss of the SmartKey or the mechanical key immediately to your car insurance company. If necessary, have the trunk lock replaced. Any authorized Mercedes-Benz Center will be glad to supply you with a replacement. 1 Inside door handle Pull on door handle 1. The door swings outwards and upwards automatically. Opening a door causes the door windows on that side of the vehicle to open slightly. They will return to the up position when the door is closed. Opening the doors Opening from the inside You can open a locked door from the inside. Open the door only if the vehicle is stationary and when conditions are safe to do so. ! Ensure sufficient side- and overhead clearance prior to opening the doors, see "Main dimensions" ( page 391).
