Controls in detail Control system Setting automatic locking Use this function to activate or deactivate the automatic central locking. With the automatic central locking system activated, the vehicle is centrally locked at vehicle speeds of approximately 9 mph (15 km/h). Move the selection marker with button æ or ç to the Vehicle submenu. Press button j or k repeatedly until you see the following message in the left multifunction display: Automatic Door Lock. The selection marker is on the current setting. Trip computer menu Use the trip computer menu to call up statistical data on your vehicle. The following information is available: Function Page Fuel consumption statistics since start Press button ÿ or è repeatedly until you see the first function of the trip computer menu. Press button j or k repeatedly until you see the following message in the left multifunction display: From Start. Fuel consumption statistics since 139 start Fuel consumption statistics since 140 last reset Resetting fuel consumption statistics Distance to empty 140 140 i The last function called up will reappear the next time you enter the trip computer menu. 1 Distance driven since start 2 Average speed since start 3 Time elapsed since start 4 Average fuel consumption since start i All statistics stored since the last engine Press button æ or ç to switch Automatic Door Lock On or Off. start will be reset approximately 4 hours after the SmartKey in the starter switch is turned to position 0 or removed from the starter switch. Resetting will not occur if you turn the SmartKey back to position 1 or 2 within this time period. 139
