HOOD 5. Press the LOCK button, then the UNLOCK button two or three times to check the keyfob operation. If the battery is removed for any reason other than replacement, perform step 5. ● An improperly disposed battery can hurt the environment. Always confirm local regulations for battery disposal. ● The keyfob is water-resistant; however, if it does get wet, immediately wipe completely dry. ● The operational range of the keyfob extends to approximately 33 ft (10 m) from the vehicle. This range may vary with conditions. FCC Notice: Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the manufacturer for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment. LPD0215 1 Pull the hood lock release handle located below the driver side instrument panel. The hood will spring up slightly. Push the lever at the front of the hood to the side as illustrated with your fingertips and raise the hood. Insert the support rod into the slot on the underside of the hood. WARNING ● Make sure the hood is completely closed and latched before driving. Failure to do so could cause the hood to fly open and result in an accident. ● If you see steam or smoke coming from the engine compartment, to avoid injury do not open the hood. 2 3 When closing the hood, lower it slowly and make sure it locks into place. 3-14 Pre-driving checks and adjustments
