AUTOMATIC OPERATION Cooling and/or dehumidified heating (AUTO) This mode may be normally used all year round as the system automatically works to keep a constant temperature. Air flow distribution and fan speed are also controlled automatically. 1. Turn the fan speed control dial and air flow control dial to the AUTO position. The air conditioner will automatically turn on. (The A/C button indicator light illuminates.) 2. Turn the temperature control dial to set the desired temperature. ¼ Adjust the temperature to about 75°F (24°C) for normal operation. ¼ The temperature of the passenger compartment will be maintained automatically. Air flow distribution and fan speed are also controlled automatically. A visible mist may be seen coming from the ventilators in hot, humid conditions as the air is cooled rapidly. position.
2. Turn the air flow control dial to the DEF
position.
3. Turn the temperature control dial to set the
desiredtemperature.

Toquicklyremoveicefromtheoutsideofthe
windows, turn the fan speed control dial to
themaximumposition.
°
As soon as possible after the windshield is
clean, turn the air flow control dial to the
AUTOpositiontoreturntotheautomode.
°
Whentheairflowcontroldialisturnedtothe

position, the air conditioner
will automatically be turned on at outside
temperatures above 23°F (±5°C) to defog
thewindshield,andtheairrecirculationmode
willautomaticallybeturnedoff.
