Odometer (Electronic and LSS Clusters) Your Oldsmobile has a tamper resistant odometer. The odometer will readERROR if someone has tampered with it. You may wonder what happens if your vehicle needs a new odometer installed. Ifthe new one can be set tothe mileage total of the old odometer, then it must be. if But it can't, then it's at zero and label must be put on set a the driver's door to show the old mileage reading when the new odometer was installed. RPM X 1 0 00 Trip Odometer (Electronic andLSS Clusters) Your trip odometer tells howfar you have driven, in either miles or lulometers, since you reset it. Press last the E M (EnglisMetric) button onthe left side of the instrument cluster toswitch the display betweenmiles and kilometers. Your odometer shows howfar your vehicle has been driven in either miles (usedin the United States) or kilometers (used in Canada). Press the EM (EnglishMetric) button on the left side of the instrument clusterto switch the display between miles and kilometers. Pressing E/M the button will also cycle al other displays through English and l metric units. The trip odometer is displayed by pressing TRIP the button. To reset it to zero, pressTRIP to displaythe trip odometer, then hold the button about three seconds for until the display resets. 2-55
