MAINTENANCE AND LUBRICATION Air Filter/Breather Filter Always clean and replace the air and breather filters at the intervals outlined in the Periodic Maintenance Chart beginning on page 64. 1. Position the vehicle on a level surface. 2. Place the transmission in gear. 3. Lock the parking brake. 4. Remove the seat. R N H 5. Unlatch the air box clips (1). Remove the air box cover. 3 6. Remove the air filter (2). 7. Remove the sleeve (3) from the filter. 8. Wash the sleeve in soapy water, then rinse and let dry. 9. Remove the breather filter (4). 10. 1.
Position the vehicle
on a level surface.
2.
Place the transmission
in gear.
3.
Lock the parking
brake.
4.
Remove the seat.
5.
Unlatch the air box
clips (1). Remove the
air box cover.
6.
Remove the air filter (2).
7.
Remove the sleeve (3)
from the filter.
8.
Wash the sleeve in
soapy water, then rinse and
let dry.
9.
Remove the breather filter (4).
10. Wash the breather filter in
soapy water, then rinse and let
dry.
