Driving Safely OPERATION Driving Downhill WARNING Excessive speed when traveling downhill can cause loss of control and serious injury or death. Slow down. Hard use of the braking system while descending a hill could result in a frontend overturn, causing serious injury or death. Always operate the brakes slightly when descending a hill. When driving downhill, follow these precautions: 1. Shift your weight uphill. 2. Drive straight downhill. 3. Slow down. 4. Apply the brakes slightly to gradually slow the vehicle. NOTE: Before operating your ATV, learn how to use the auxiliary brake for emergency situations (if service brakes become inoperable). 63

Driving Downhill
When driving downhill, follow these precautions:
