OPERATION Vehicle Break-in Period Engine and Drivetrain Break-in 7. Carry only light loads. 8. During the break-in period, change both the oil and the filter at 25 hours or one month. 9. PVT Break-in (Clutches/Belt) A proper break-in of the clutches and drive belt will ensure a longer life and better performance. If a belt fails, always clean any debris from the duct and from the engine compartment. Standard Break-In Drive at slower speeds for the first 50 miles (80 km) of operation. Carry only light loads. Avoid aggressive acceleration, high-speed operation and prolonged operation at a specific RPM during this period. Sand/Dune/Mud Break-In Drive in low gear for the first 5 miles (8 km) of operation.
