Trunk Trunk Lock To unlock the trunk from the outside, insert the door key into the lock and turn it. You can also use the Remote Lock Control transmitter, if your vehicle has this option. A CAUTION: It can bedangerous to drive with the trunk open because carbon monoxide (CO) gas come into can your vehicle. You can't seeor smell CO.It can cause unconsciousness and even death. I you must drive with the trunkopen or if f electrical wiring other cable connections or must pass through the seal betweenthe body and the trunk: Make sure all windowsare shut. 7hrn the fan on your heating or cooling system to its highest speed with the setting on VENT. That will force outside air into your vehicle. See "Comfort Controls" in the Index. If you have air outlets on or under the instrument panel, open them the way. all See "EngineExhaust" in theIndex. Remote Trunk Release (Option) Press the button behind the glove box door to unlock the trunk from insideyour vehicle. Your transaxle shift lever must be inPARK (P).
