These are automatically turned off when the engine is switched off. When the car is next started, the fog lights will have to be switched back on manually by pressing the fog light switch. If the engine is restarted within 30 seconds, the front fog lights will remain on but not if the light switch is in position AUTO. Adjusting instrument illumination Acquaint yourself with the legal provisions governing the use of front fog lights.
