INSTRUMENT PANEL VFD SIGNAL START Existing frequency AUTO STORE For more 2 seconds Be stored in Order to 6 buttons PRESET SCAN Manual Memory: • Select the desired band using the band selection button. • Tune in the desired station using the tuning up/down button. • Press one of the 6 preset buttons for more than 2 seconds. The preset button number will be displayed on the VFD, then the station will be stored in the memory. • Using the same method, you can store the desired stations into the 6 preset buttons. Blinking (1 to 6 buttons) AFTER STORING Stored frequency 86Z007 CASSETTE OPERATION 1) Press the power button or "TAPE" button to turn the audio system on. 2) Insert a cassette tape fully into the cassette slot with the exposed tape side facing to the right. Then the player starts playback and the "PLAY" signal appears on the VFD. 3) If a cassette tape is already inserted in the cassette slot, press the cassette on button to turn the cassette on. 4) When playing back a Dolby tape, press the button (Dolby B noise reduction button) to reduce audible "hiss". 5) To eject a tape, press the tape eject button. Then, the radio mode is automatically activated. 6) To play a cassette when the radio or CD player is operating, press the cassette on button (if a tape is already inserted in the cassette slot) or insert a tape into the cassette slot. Then the cassette starts playback. Cassette On / Program Function To play a cassette when the radio or CD player is operating, press the TAPE button if a tape is already inserted in the cassette slot. The mode is changed to the cassette mode and the tape is played back. If a tape is not in the cassette slot, the mode is not changed to the cassette mode when you press this button. To play back the opposite side of a tape press the cassette on/program button. 3-35

Manual Memory:

more than 2 seconds.
The preset button number will be dis-
played on the VFD, then the station will
be stored in the memory.

CASSETTE OPERATION
1)
Press the power button or “TAPE” but-
ton to turn the audio system on.
2)
