DSPSURROUND MANUAL TUNING SURROUND REPEATI MONO TUNER .- __ _-. The DSP (Digital Signal Processor) surround circuits can recreate the effect of sounds reflected from walls or ceilings, to obtain the sound presence of real environments. There are three modes with matching graphic equalization curves. Press the SURROUND button repeatedly until the desired SURROUND mode is displayed. ~DISCO+LIVE+HALL+ I S-oFF] (cancel) Equalization curves are selected automatically to match the SURROUND modes and can also be selected or turned off to suit your preference. When the music source is monaural Select LIVE to obtain a simulated stereo effect. When DISCO or HALL is selected, no sound will be heard from the surround speakers. To cancel the selected mode Press the selected button again. S-OFF is displayed. SURROUND

There

ay not stop at stations
with very weak
signals.
When an FM stere
broadcast
contains
noise
Press the REPEAT/
ONO TUNER button on the remote control
so that “MONO
app ars on the display.
Noise is reduced, alt ough reception is monaural.

stereo
re eption,

disappears.
To change
the AM
uning
interval
The default setting o the AM tuning interval is
so that MONO
10 kHz/step.
If

you use this unit in an
rea where the-frequency allocation system
is 9 kHz/step, chang
the tuning interval.
Press the
POWER
utton while
pressing
the TUNER/BAND
button.
To reset the interval,
epeat this procedure.

When the AM tuning i terval is changed, all preset stations (see
“PRESETTING
STA IONS)
are cleared.
The preset stations
have to be set again.
