41 3 Attach one side of the fan/heatsink metal bracket to the CPU socket and then gently push down the other side of the metal bracket until it locks in place. 4 Connect the 3-pin fan/thermal cable to the system board. Refer to section "System board layout" on page 23 for the location of the fan/thermal connectors. Note: The heatsink becomes very hot when the system is on. NEVER touch the heatsink with any metal or with your hands. Note:
The heatsink becomes very hot when the system is on.

Follow these steps to remove a CPU:

it before removing the other side.
