52 3 Upgrading the system Installing and removing storage devices The system supports one 3.5-inch and two 5.25-inch internal storage devices. The system comes pre-installed with a floppy drive and a CDROM drive. The empty 5.25-inch half-height bay allows you to install additional drives such as another CD-ROM drive or a tape drive. To replace the 3.5-inch floppy drive 1 Observe the ESD precautions and pre-installation procedures described on page 37. 2 Disconnect the IDE and floppy drive cables from the old drive. 3 Press the release bracket on both sides of the drive carrier (1) before pulling it out from the chassis (2).
