Going online - 29 Important Some apps may require payment before you can download them. You will need to have a Google Wallet account in order to pay for these apps. Using downloaded apps Once you've downloaded and installed an application, you may find it in the apps sections of the Applications menu. Certain apps provide both an app and widget, or only provide a widget (with no application icon). See Personalizing the Home screen on page 16. Uninstalling downloaded apps Once you've downloaded and installed an application, you may uninstall the application by opening the Applications menu and tapping Settings > Apps. Swipe over to the DOWNLOADED section, tap the app you wish to uninstall and then tap Uninstall. Deleting an app icon from the Home screen only deletes the shortcut. Google Hangouts Tap Hangouts from the Applications menu to open Google Hangouts. Tap the + icon in the lower right-hand corner of the screen to start a new conversation, then select the type of conversation you'd like to start from the list. This will open your list of contacts. Tap on a contact to open a chat session.
