3 Click the Security tab. Connecting to the WLAN The Enable WEP Encryption setting is deselected by default. Adaptec recommends that you protect your network by enabling WEP encryption. Unprotected networks are vulnerable to security breaches by unauthorized users. a Set the Enable WEP Encryption and WEP Key settings as desired. (See Changing the WEP Encryption Settings on page 22 for more information.) If you are adding your Wireless AP to an existing WLAN, set WEP Encryption to match your other Wireless network devices. Each station on your WLAN must have the same WEP Encryption settings. 17
