SnapServer® Configuration Guide 4.2.2.1 Snap EDR Standard and Snap EDR Express 4.2.2.1.1 Snap EDR Standard Snap EDR Standard Edition includes all functionality, including remote backup, as well as one-to-one, one-to-many and many-to-one replication. Snap EDR Standard can be positioned not only for disk-based backup and disaster recovery but also for data distribution and versioned disk-based backup with the advanced backup functionality included over EDR Express. Snap EDR Standard is licensed by class of SnapServer NAS Systems as well as by client operating system (for non-SnapServer NAS systems) as follows: Snap EDR Standard - Windows / Mac OS X / Linux / UNIX5 Snap EDR Standard - Workgroup Snap EDR Standard - Department 4.2.2.1.2 Snap EDR Express Snap EDR Express is a value-based replication-only suite for two-node, one-to-one replication between SnapServer NAS Systems only. It is primarily positioned for disk-based backup and disaster recovery6 between two SnapServer NAS systems. Snap EDR Express is licensed by class of SnapServer NAS Systems as follows: Snap EDR Express - Workgroup Snap EDR Express - Department 4.2.2.2 Snap EDR for Workgroup or Department Snap EDR is licensed for SnapServer NAS Systems categorized as Workgroup or Department SnapServer NAS Systems. 4.2.2.2.1 Workgroup SnapServer NAS Systems SnapServer NAS Systems that are categorized as Workgroup are the following: Current SnapServer NAS Systems - SnapServer 410 - SnapServer 210 4.2.2.2.2 Midrange and Department SnapServer NAS Systems SnapServer NAS Systems that are categorized as Midrange or Department are both covered by the "Department" Snap EDR license and are the following models: Current SnapServer NAS systems - SnapServer N2000 5 Snap EDR 7.2 supports Solaris as the only UNIX platform.
