Using quick initialization Refer to these instructions when creating a RAID 1 set using one or two existing hard disk drives containing data that you d o n o t w a n t t o k e e p. Using quick initialization erases all data from the existing hard disk drive(s). Make sure to backup all important data before using this RAID 1 configuration mode. 1. Restart the system, then enter the FastBuild™ Utility. 2. In the FastBuild™ Utility main menu, press to display the A u t o Setup Options Menu. 3. Use the arrow keys to go to the Optimize Array for field, then select S e c u r i t y using the space bar. The M o d e field displays M i r r o r. 4. After making a selection, press . 5.
