2.8 Installing storage drives The system supports one UltraATA100/66 IDE or one Serial ATA hard disk drive. 2.8.1 Installing an IDE hard disk drive Configure your hard disk drive as Master device before installing it in the storage drive assembly. Refer to the HDD documentation on how to set the drive as a Master device. To install an IDE hard disk drive: 1. Lay the storage drive assembly on its top on a flat surface. 2. Insert an IDE hard disk drive to the drive bay upside down. 2 3. Push the hard disk drive into the bay until their screw holes align. 4. Secure the drive with two screws on both sides of the bay. You can re-install the storage drive assembly if you do not intend to install a new optical drive or upgrade a pre-installed one. The system supports one UltraATA100/66 IDE or one Serial ATA hard disk drive.
2.8.1
Installing an IDE hard disk drive
To install an
IDE
hard disk drive:
1.
Lay the storage drive assembly
on its top on a flat surface.
2.
Insert an IDE hard disk drive to
the drive bay upside down.

Configure your hard disk drive as Master device before installing it in
the storage drive assembly. Refer to the HDD documentation on how
to set the drive as a Master device.
You can re-install the storage drive assembly if you do not intend to
install a new optical drive or upgrade a pre-installed one. Refer to the
next section on how to install an optical drive.

Secure the drive with two
screws on both sides of the bay.
