Troubleshooting Vacuum cleaner won't turn on Possible causes 1. Power cord not plugged in 2. Blown fuse/tripped breaker in home WARNING: To reduce the risk of electric shock, turn power OFF and disconnect polarized plug from electrical outlet before performing maintenance or troubleshooting. Remedies 1. Check electrical plug 2. Check/replace fuse or reset breaker 3. Thermal protector activated 3. Allow cleaner to cool for 30 minutes, see pg 8. This will reset thermal protector 4. Dirt tank is full of water 4. Empty tank and reattach 5. Dirt tank is full of debris 5. Empty tank and reattach Vacuum cleaner and tools won't pick up or low suction Possible causes Remedies 1. Hose not properly positioned 1. Make sure hose is fully connected to base 2. Dirt tank not installed properly 2. Check assembly of upper and lower portions, correctly position and secure into place 3. Dirt container full 3. Empty dirt container 4. Clog in cleaner 4. Follow instructions on pg 12 for clearing clogs 5. Filters are dirty 5. Check and clean filter 6. Hose not properly attached 6. Make sure hose collar is pushed in or in locked position 7.
